Description
This is an exciting new course! Firstly, we will design and hand build a ceramic lamp base to your own design (or one of ours!). We will teach you all the hand building skills you will need to complete a one-of-a-kind lamp base.
The second half of the day will be learning how to screen print your fabric to cover a lampshade. We will show you how to design and set a screen, screen print on the fabric and then cover the shade.
The next part of the course will be one Thursday evening for you to come and glaze your bisque fired lamp base for the final firing.
The finished lamp base will be ready to pick up within 3 weeks and will have the electric lead and bulb fitting ready for you to add your lampshade.
All materials and workshops are provided within the cost.
Refreshments will be provided throughout the workshop. You can bring lunch with you or pop to one of the local shops or cafes. This workshop is perfect for beginners of those
