Description
This new workshop is a lovely one. I used to be an English Teacher and loved (still do!) poetry and the simplicity of words to form pictures. In this workshop you will be making a clay picture, using slab building and hand building. We will experiment with texture, sculpted forms, stamps/other printing forms and, of course, stamped words to create a one of a kind artwork. You can bring your own words/story/poem, or we will have lots of examples for you to choose from. It will be fired in the kiln to then allow you to come back and decorate it with glazes. It will be fired in the kiln once again and returned approx 2-3 weeks later to you.
This workshop is for beginners or those that have worked with slab pottery before. Please wear old clothes or those you don’t mind getting clay on.
There will be refreshments available throughout the workshop, including some cake.
